An association has been observed between having irregular times of getting up and going to bed, with a worse quality of sleep and greater sleep during the day.
This occurs, both if sleep is advanced or delayed and we go to bed outside the period of maximum efficiency of endogenous rhythms, or if there is a great variability between the time of going to bed and getting up for a few days to others.
For this reason, one of the sleep hygiene measures is to go to bed and get up at the same time every day, although the greatest benefit of this measure is observed the worse the sleep problems are.
