noises

Noise reduction techniques and masking techniques effectively contribute to reducing the negative effects of noise on sleep.

There are several factors that influence how noise affects sleep: Whether it is an intermittent or continuous noise, the volume of the noise, the type of noise and the relevance of the noise to the person, are some of these factors .

In general, environmental noise has an impact on sleep, making it more superficial, suppressing deep sleep and REM sleep, and increasing arousals.

Although with several days exposed to noise, habituation occurs, however, the subjective perception does not always reflect this habituation.

Earplugs and white noise machines help mitigate noise, helping to improve sleep quality.
